Are women living up to their full potential? Are they
growing where God has planted them? In
this controversial, yet intensely researched book, Kris Vallotton shares God’s
plan for women, and what role God originally designed them for.
I really liked this book. Kris Vallotton has a gift and a
calling of writing. Unlike many non-fiction books I have read, Kris literally
always keeps my interest while I am reading. I have read quite a few of his
books, and I always love the authenticity Kris Vallotton has. His books are not
pretentious at all, yet he is still very well written and researched. Another thing
I love is that Kris does not force you to agree with him, he always shares his
opinion unwaveringly, but he also encourages you to search out the scriptures
for yourself, and find out what God has told you about any given topic.
This book had a lot of interesting information, and I really
liked reading the different interpretations of controversial scriptures. (i.e.
the “Women should be silent” scripture, among various others. Kris’s theories
are rooted in scripture, and besides a couple of paragraphs, I wholeheartedly
agreed with the book. Again, whenever I disagreed with something, Kris’s book,
I was urged to delve into the scriptures and search out my answer. Overall, I would
highly recommend Fashioned to Reign, along with any of Kris’s other books, to
any lady who feels like she doesn’t measure up, and to any woman who wants to
live the life God has planned for her.
I received this book from the publisher in exchange for this
review. Thanks so much!
