"I grew up in Europe. My family moved around a lot because my dad's job assignments required relocations time after time. When I was a 5 years old we lived in a beautiful old European city which has a huge royal palace in the heart of it. The palace was made into a museum and I remember frequently strolling through its numerous halls filled with beautiful classic paintings and sculptures, all hundreds years old. Visiting the palace was one of my family's favorite pastimes and it surely left a lasting impression on me even though I didn't appreciate it as much when I was 5 :)
I am a self-taught jewelry artist. My passion for beading started in childhood and slowly grew into something bigger over the years. I love creating pieces with a classic vintage flavor, but giving them a touch of modern simplicity and style. I am fond of nature, folklore, ancient myths and legends, classic art and literature and you are going to see the elements of these in my work. My favorite materials are vintage brass, pearls, glass opals, and various sparkling vintage gems of vibrant color (Swarovski, Czech Preciosa, vintage glass).
I live with my husband and two naughty turtles in a cute cozy house surrounded by blooming lilacs. When it is not winter in Minnesota (which is about 6 months long) we like to ride our bicycles down to Fort Snelling Park to see the deer; or go for a spin on the lake on our little sail boat."
