Easter Happiness

 For Easter, my entire family loves dying eggs. It is one of our {favorite} traditions

About two years ago, I discovered how to "batik" eggs- and since then, me and my sisters love doing them! {we use tape and dye :) }

I think this is one of my favorite traditions! I am known as the "Egg Jedi"  because my eggs are always take the longest, and I usually try and eat my sisters' eggs so that I will not have to crack mine.

My Easter was so great. We went to church, and many people gave their testimonies. We then went to my grandparent's house, and ate ham, scalloped potatoes, and about 546 different forms of sugar. I ate a lot of Peeps. Which are mi favorito. I am so blessed.

Book Review: Song of My Heart by Kim Vogel Sawyer

Sadie Wagner has the perfect opportunity. When her stepfather is horrifically wounded, she must figure out some way to earn money for her family’s support.  When she receives a letter with a job offer from her favorite cousin, Sid, she decides to take a job as a clerk in Goldtree, Kansas. When she is forced into more than she bargained for at work, as well as starting to fall for the ruggedly handsome sheriff, she questions if it was really God’s will for her to be in this small, cute town. When she accidentally discovers illegal activity, she must choose whether to do what is right, or forsake all hopes of supporting her family.

·         The characters. As always, Kim Vogel Sawyer does not disappoint.

·         The plot.  So that I do not give it away, I’ll just say I loved it immensely.

·         Thad Mckane. Yup.

·         The detail. Kim is fantastic at building detail. Really.

I didn’t ♥

·         Actually, there was nothing about the actual story I disliked. Just at the end I had a little confusion about a certain gunshot.

Overall

I would say this book is a fantastic read for anyone who likes historical fiction. The setting of the story takes place in an area reminiscent of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (one of my favorite shows) I would say a perfect book for ages 15+. This would be a perfect book for your to-read list!

Book Review: Lion of Babylon by Davis Bunn

While working on the problem, Marc finds trails of people meeting who were sworn enemies.He discovers a surprising truth that could change the Middle East. Forever.
     This book was well written out, grabbing one from the first chapter. Usually, books can be given until the end of the first paragraph to draw in a reader. This book did just that. With an Intriguing beginning, and intensely suspenseful end, this book is hard to put down. One will agree that this book had just the right number of pages, and an interesting plot that sets it apart from others. Though fairly sad at parts, Overall, this book was a fantastic read for anyone who enjoys a fast-paced story, on the edge of trouble. One would recommend this book to ages 13+, because younger children would not understand it as well.
