Interview with Lucia Marie, from the blog "From Under My Little Umbrella"

So Lucia, how have you been doing?
Well. And that is the truth. :] Busy, stressed over school, dampened by the constant rain, but, altogether: well. And praise the Lord for that!
Coffee or Chai? Ooh, I am an avid disliker of Chai. I don't know why..oh, my. Okay, enough with the rhyming already. ;) I am not a huge drinker of coffee, either..just haven't gotten into it, yet! Mom says that's a good thing..? ;)
If you could make a new law in America, what would that law be?
Well, like alot of people on this side of the blogging world would say, I would outlaw ABORTION. It is beyond sad that our country gives the death sentence to someone who murders a one-year-old, but says it's a "mother's right" for her to kill her unborn child..even eight months into the pregnancy. :/ DEFINITELY something we all need to pray about.
How are you using your blog for God's glory?
When I first began my blog, I knew nothing. I was totally inexperienced, and only knew that I had no future whatsoever in becoming of those big, "popular" blogs--I only wanted to share a little about my life with others. I really don't know how it happened, but my readers began to multiply, and I realized that many eyes at least scan my posts everyday--from all around the world. What better way to witness for Christ, then through my words? Since then, I have been striving to write heart-searching articles, reflections, and show the world my love for Christ alongside my fun/random/daily life posts. I have gotten lots of positive feedback, and it lifts my heart to know that I am an encouragement to others! <3
Do you know what you want to do for the future {as in occupation, marriage, etc}?
I am now completeing my sophomore year of hi-school, and the future looks big, scary, and not ready for me yet. o.O But, I know God has something amazing out there for me~~I am totally unsure what, as of yet, but if it were up to me: become an English major through online schooling and/or a nearby college. Become a wife and mother. I have loved children since I was a child myself, and my utmost dream is to become a mother, LORD willing. But, who knows? Before that blessed day, I may have a wild ride, yet..
What is your favorite scripture?
Oh, it always depends on what is happening in my life/what I am going through, but for now, one of my favorites is Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." That verse has guided me through many decisions, and has always been a comfort to me.
If you could say one thing to the readers of this blog, what would it be?
I don't consider myself as someone you would go for to get advice, but these past months I have been getting alot of questions from girls who are discontent. They want to follow God's plan for their life, but one thing keeps getting in their way--appearance. I seem to come across as a very "confident" girl, so they all want to know--"Why are you so confident? I try, but I just can't escape the fact that I'm not ____." ..You fill in the blank, but I think that what that blank always holds is the word "perfection." Every girl wants it, whether they admit it or not. I did, too. Until you admit to yourself that you are never going to achieve outward perfection, and start loving what you have and how God has made you, you are going to be discontent--unconfident. Coming from someone experienced with that feeling of being "not as pretty as ____." So, if there is one thing I would say to your readers {once I finish my little sermon, hehe..}, it is this: don't you know you're beautiful? Inside is what counts. Remember that, and you'll have a confidence that makes you more beautiful than Elizabeth Taylor. <3
White, Dark, or Milk chocolate?
Milk chocolate is my "one weakness." ;) I know dark seems more romantic and is waayy more healthful, but I just can't help myself. :] "Forget love..I'd rather fall in chocolate!"
Do you speak any languages besides English?
I can't say that I "speak" another language, for that would be somewhat of a fib. But, I am learning German, and have been immersed in it since I was a young child. My dad and mom speak it fluently, and lived in Germany for many years. I hope to master it, someday..

Favorite Color?I'm an "every-pretty-color-girl," so I would have to say..every pretty color is my favorite color. :] But, one that I admire above all the rest is a good, deep, royal purple. I want a dress in that shade..
Would you rather wear a skirt and blouse, or a dress?
I'm not really a dress person~~they tend to be less comfortable than a skirt and blouse. So, I would have to go with the latter. But, if it is..say, a regency DRESS, or a Civil War DRESS, or a cute summer DRESS, or any of those lovelies...send 'em over! :]
Thank you so much for doing the interview Lucia!  Make Sure to Check out her awesome blog!

Interview With Rose from "Through My Eyes"

I recently contacted  Rose to see if she would do an interview, and she said yes! Rose is one of my close friends, and I hope you enjoy reading her interview!

~So Rose, how have you been doing?
Well, physically, I've been doing well. I haven't failed any of my classes in school, and running around outside in this wonderful spring air is keeping me in good health. I have quite gotten over my nasty cold, so instead of croaking like a frog who has a fly in his throat, I can sing and talk again. Hallelujah

~Coffee or Chai?

Chai all the way. I'm not a big fan of coffee. For me, it takes a gallon of milk and a barrel full of sugar to get it to taste even drinkable. (I'm not a fan of bitter either) Therefore, if I drank coffee, I would get diabetes and wreck my digestive system forever. However, for some reason, even though I don't like the taste, I like the smell of the brewed beverage. *This is just my humble opinion, of course.*
~ If you could make a new law in America, what would that law be?

Well, in my opinion, I think American could do with a few less laws. Instead of making a new one, I would take out a stupid one, like maybe the one that says, "It is unlawful to lend your vacuum cleaner to your next-door neighbor."  Yup. Never doing that again! It's against the law.

~ How are you using your blog for God's glory?

My blog is a recording of my life, my struggles, memories, and passing thoughts. Even now, when I look back at my older posts, I can see how much I have grown in the past year, both in my Walk and in my writing skills. Also, what I post on my blog is, I hope, an encouragement to other fellow believers. I hope they are reminded again that a life lived for Christ, though it might not be easy, is the best possible one.

~Do you know what you want to do for the future {as in occupation, marriage, etc}?

Well, after I am done with high school, I am planning on getting a degree in Biology. As for marriage, if it is God's will, I will settle down and try my utmost to be a good wife and mother.
~What is your favorite scripture?

I would have to say 1 Corinthians 10:31. "Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

~If you could say one thing to the readers of this blog, what would it be?

Never lose hope. No matter how hard things get there is always hope in Jesus Christ. He will never leave you nor forsake you. What an awesome truth!!

~ White, Dark, or Milk chocolate?

I don't mind Dark, I really like milk, and I can't say I have a liking for white.

Rose has an awesome blog, Through My Eyes. You all should check it out!

Interview with Natasha Atkerson!

I was able to do a fantastic interview with Natasha Atkerson from What I wear, What I do, and Why I did it. Here is the interview for everyone! Natasha was very agreeable, and fun to interview! :)

~So Natasha, how have you been doing?
I'm doing well, thank you for asking!

~FFW 11 concluded about a month ago, are you planning on doing another in the future?
So far I've hosted three modest fashion weeks. I'm currently working on another fashion week with a blog friend Ashley, from www.bramblewoodfashion.blogspot.com. I can't release any details yet, but I know it will be sometime in April.

~ Do you have any fashion tips for making awesome outfits?
Don't conform to the world's standards of whats 'in'. If you like the outfit, go for it! Don't let anyone tell you that your outfits not awesome, it is! True style is personal, and doesn't rely on what the latest fashion rule tells you.

~Coffee or Chai?
Coffee (but only if its girly coffee such as a Java Chip Frauppachino).

~ If you could make a new law in America, what would that law be?
Gosh, there are so many new laws enacted by our government right now. I guess a law against big government. I wish the people had more say. I guess that's not really a law, but its what I'd change.

~ How are you using your blog for God's glory?
I try very hard to display God's standards of modesty, and help young and older women alike to dress in CUTE modest fashion. Our society has given modesty a bad rep! And its highly undeserved! Modesty can, and is something attainable for everyone.
I also try to tell people things that God lays on my heart. Most recently the subject of being negative about things we can't change.
~Do you know what you want to do for the future?
Ha! Ha! I hate that question! : ) But that's okay, hard questions are good sometimes!
I have so many interests that I can't pick one that I'd like to pursue as an occupation.
My ultimate is marriage. I love kids! And I hope to marry someday, if its God's will. Until then? Who knows! I'll keep following God, because I know He'll lead me to the right career (or husband) at the right time.

~What is your favorite scripture?
Hebrews 12:14-15
"Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness spring up, cause trouble and by this many become defiled." Its a good reminder to get along with everyone not just people you like, or are easy to get along with.

~If you could say one thing to the readers of this blog, what would it be?
Hold fast to your beliefs, and never let people look down on you because your young. God can use you in a great way if you let Him.

~ White, Dark, or Milk chocolate?
Milk Chocolate, ALL THE WAY!

~ Where do you find most of the clothes you wear on your blog?
A Majority of my clothing comes from thrift shops. This is a great way to find unique, cute pieces, without breaking your budget. I also get a lot of my clothes from retail stores on sale. If your looking to get new pieces (for whatever reason, be it because your mom doesn't like thrift shops, or you don't) shop sales. I usually wait till they go on 70% off or more. Maurices, Vanity, JcPenney, and Ross are some of my favorite stores to shop for sales items at. By the way, one more tip! Don't buy it just because its $5, that's a waste of money, and you won't be happy you spent it later!

~ What is your #1 modesty tip?
Let God lead you in every aspect of your wardrobe. Your modesty is between you and God, and He'll let you know if your wearing something You shouldn't be. Remember that time you looked in the mirror and thought, "I think my shirts too tight"? that was God! So listen!
One more! (yes, I'm long winded!) Tank tops are your absolute best friend, use them!

Thank you so much Natasha for agreeing to do the interview! Natasha has an awesome blog, { What I wear, What I do, and Why I did it} so make sure to check it out and become a follower :)
Sincerely,

Hello you lovely people! I had the oppurtunity to interview Camille fr Forever Feminine, (Formerly The Undercover Blonde's Guide to Style) She was a lot of fun! Here is the interview :)

~ Hi Camille! How are you?
Hi Libbi! I'm doing pretty good. :) My family has had a pretty busy few weeks, so I am somewhat worn out! This week is going to be much more laid back tho, and I am looking forward to this! :)
~ What is the focus/purpose of your blog, Forever Feminine?
The main purpose of my blog, is to glorify my Savior and bring glory to His name. I want people to see His love through me and my blog, and encourage others in their walk with Christ. :)

~ What is your favorite color?
Pink. :) No question there.

~ Does your family have any Christmas traditions?
Yes! Every year we really try to focus on the birth of Jesus, Vs. the presents and Santa Claus. We have a big birthday party for Jesus with cake and cookies, and read the Christmas story. :) It's awesome.

~ Do you like vintage shoes :)?
YES! This is one of my biggest obessesions! Hahaha! Run over to my blog and check out the sidebar. :) LOL!

~ If you could make a new law in America, what would that law be?
Wow, Libbi, this is a good question! Haha! I think if I were going to make 1 law, I would make the murdering of helpless babies {i.e. abortion} completely illegal. :)
~ How are you using your blog for God's glory?
I am trying to encourage woman to seek God's counsil on how HE would like them to dress, and I am encouraging young ladies to remain pure {in mind, and body}, and stand up against our wordly, sinful, culture. I also have the gospel posted on my blog, so that people who don't know Christ can become saved.
~Do you know what you want to do for the future?
I know I want to serve my Lord. Whether this is through being a missionary, flute teacher, or nurse {I feel God leading me into 1 of those three options...I just am not quite sure which yet!}, my life belongs to Him. :)
~What is your favorite scripture?
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
-Proberbs 31:30
