Book Review: Heart on the Line by Karen Witemeyer

In the small, female-only town of Harper's Station, Grace Mallory is working as a telegraph operator. Barely having escaped death, and a witness to her father being murdered, she now finds herself trying to stay hidden. Meanwhile, over telegraph, she becomes acquainted with the kind and gentle Amos Bledsoe. After receiving a message implying that Grace could be in mortal danger, he quickly travels to her aid, despite being the only single male in the town.

This book was a very enjoyable read for me, although somewhat predictable. I thought the characters were all likeable, and it was an interesting premise. I have always been a big fan of Karen Witemeyer because she always has adorable stories, relatable characters, and she keeps her books clean. I would recommend this book if you like historical fiction, especially Westerns. Honestly, the majority of Karen Witemeyer’s books are such cute love stories. Though it was fairly predictable, it was still a really enjoyable read. Overall, I would recommend this book to almost anyone 16+. Enough suspense to keep you turning the page, but not so terrifying you can’t sleep after reading it. It’s a price you can’t beat, and a pleasant read, so pick one up if you enjoy reading!

This book was given to me by the publisher free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.
