Book Review: Out of the Ordinary by Jen Turano

Gertrude Cadwalader leads a most interesting life. Living as a paid companion to the peculiar
Mrs. Davenport, she struggles with more than her fair share of mishaps, miscommunications, and
missing items! Having given up hope of marriage, due to her unfortunate family history, she
chastises herself for developing feelings for the wealthy Harrison Sinclair. Though the two enjoy a
playful friendship, both assume that the other wants no more than to be friends. Through several
hilarious encounters, the two grow closer, but will they ever share their true feelings for each other?

I thought this was a really cute book. It was hilarious in parts, and a very relaxing read. It was a
bit hard to get into since I had not realized it was part of a series, but after a few chapters I caught up
without having to read the other books. Once you grow to love the characters, there is no turning
back! Jen Turano has a way of writing that makes you laugh when her characters laugh, cry when
they cry, and blush when they get embarrassed! Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone
who enjoys a light-hearted, funny book with a robust vocabulary, this book is for you!
